The purpose of this study was to examine the methods used by English as a Second Language (ESL) instructors at SMA Negeri 11 in Bengkulu City to promote good character in their students. A qualitative methodology based on a case study approach was used in this study, where data were obtained through in-depth interviews with guidance counselors, direct observation, and document analysis related to guidance counseling programs and activities at the school. The results indicate that the communication strategies implemented include interpersonal communication, the implementation of self-development programs, and the application of information technology in material delivery and evaluation. Interpersonal communication is carried out through individual and group counseling, with a focus on understanding students' emotional and psychological needs. Self-development programs, such as leadership training and extracurricular activities, are designed to shape and strengthen students' positive character. The use of information technology, such as online platforms for consultation and information, also plays a significant role in supporting communication strategies. This analysis reveals that effective communication strategies contribute significantly to improving students' positive character, although there are challenges in their implementation that require further attention. This research is expected to contribute to the development of better communication strategies in the context of character education in other schools.
