A DEVELOPMENT OF WRITING ABILITY IN REDUCING PLAGIARISM OF SCIENTIFIC WRITING STUDENTS OF PROGRAM PAI STAIN MANDAILING NATAL
Abstrak
Plagiarism is an act that violates scientific principles, because this action is quoting other people's work and then emphasizing that the work is one's own work. This community service activity is carried out in the form of training which is carried out offline. The location of the service was carried out in the STAIN Mandailing Natal higher education unit, with the target subject of the activity being students of the 1st semester of PAI study program, a total of 84 students. The purpose of holding this activity is to instill the basics in writing scientific papers and reduce student failures in writing scientific papers. The results of the activity stated that there were 108 students registered in the activity, 67 students from the target, 39 students were non-target and 2 students from the total number of participants registered were students from study programs outside PAI. 66.66% (64 students) of the total number of targets who met the criteria for participant activities by attending the training at least 3 times and 9.25% (10 students) of the number of targets who met the criteria as the best participants. The conclusion of this activity is that the number of target students for activities that are feasible as activity participants reaches 66.66% or 64 students indicating that the activities carried out are very successful.
