Faktor-faktor yang Berhubungan dengan Anemia pada Remaja Putri di SMK Negeri 3 Kota Bengkulu

Background : Anemia is a common health problem among adolescent girls and has the potential to have long-term impacts on future health. This study aims to analyze the determinants associated with anemia among female students at SMK Negeri 3 Bengkulu City. Method : The research design used was a case-control study with a sample of 120 respondents, consisting of 60 female students with anemia as the case group and 60 female students without anemia as the control group. The variables studied included nutritional status based on Body Mass Index (BMI), menstrual cycle patterns, adherence to iron supplementation, and parental income levels. Data were collected through hemoglobin levels and questionnaires, then analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Bresul. Results : The results showed that the prevalence of anemia reached 50.0%. Statistical analysis indicated a significant association between menstrual cycle (p = 0.000) and iron supplementation (p = 0.025) with anemia. Meanwhile, nutritional status (p = 0.436) and parental income (p = 0.573) did not show a statistically significant relationship. Conclusion : Overall, these findings confirm that the prevalence of anemia among adolescent girls remains relatively high, with contributing factors primarily related to menstrual cycles and iron supplement consumption.
