Jurnal AVICENNA
Preservation Commitment
AVICENNA is committed to the long-term availability and preservation of its scholarly content. Preservation is an ongoing responsibility of journal management and should not rely on a single website interface alone.
Primary Digital Record
The primary publication records of the journal are maintained in Open Journal Systems (OJS), including article files, metadata, issue information, and persistent identifiers if assigned.
Backup and Recovery
The publisher must routinely perform technical backups of the journal platform and publication files. Backup copies must be stored separately from the primary production environment to support recovery from server failures, data corruption, security incidents, or other disruptions.
Distributed Preservation
If supported and technically feasible, AVICENNA may use institutional repositories, preservation networks, library systems, national indexing services, or other trusted archives. External archives should only be designated as active once their participation is verified.
DOIs and Metadata
AVICENNA registers DOIs and bibliographic metadata via Crossref where possible. DOI registration supports continuous identification and discovery, but does not in itself replace the preservation of article files.
Author Self-Archiving
Authors are permitted to archive published versions in institutional or subject repositories and scholarly web pages, provided the original AVICENNA publication and DOI are cited and license terms are respected.
Journal Cessation
If the journal ceases publication, the publisher will make reasonable efforts to maintain access to previously published content and preserve stable bibliographic metadata.
Implementation Requirements (Editorial Note):
Mention only preservation mechanisms genuinely managed by AVICENNA and its publisher. Add external preservation networks only after active participation is confirmed.
