Jurnal AVICENNA

1

Scope of Accepted Manuscripts

AVICENNA accepts manuscripts that make a clear scientific contribution in the field of Public Health (nutrition, epidemiology, environmental health, reproductive health, health education, behavioral science, health administration and policy, health service management, and occupational health). The journal is a quarterly publication (April, August, and December) that considers the publication of original articles according to its scope. All submitted manuscripts must be original, relevant to the journal's aims and scope, and prepared in accordance with the Author Guidelines.

2

Original Research Articles

Report new empirical findings based on quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, survey, experimental, archival, secondary data, or other defensible research designs. These papers typically include an introduction with a clear gap and contribution, methods, results, discussion, conclusions and implications, statements, and references.

3

Review Articles

Present a rigorous and critical synthesis of a clearly defined body of literature. Systematic, structured, bibliometric, and integrative reviews are accepted provided that the search strategy, selection criteria, analytical methods, and scientific contribution are transparent.

4

Conceptual or Theoretical Articles

Develop, expand, integrate, or critically evaluate concepts, frameworks, or theories. Manuscripts must go beyond descriptive summaries and offer clear conceptual contributions, propositions, frameworks, or theory-grounded implications.

5

Case Studies / Applied Research Articles

Analyze specific issues in the fields of health, medical services, hospital organization, or health policy using transparent and academically defensible methods. These papers must generate insights that go beyond purely descriptive institutional reports.

6

Short Communications

Concise reports on timely and methodological findings that are worthy of scientific communication but do not require a full-length article. The same peer-review standards, ethics, originality, and declarations apply.

Generally Not Accepted

News, promotional materials, class assignments without clear research contributions, purely descriptive reports, or manuscripts outside the journal's scope are not considered research articles and will not be processed for publication.
