Conflict of Interest
Conflict of Interest Policy
Jurnal AVICENNA
General Principle
A conflict of interest occurs when financial, professional, personal, academic, institutional, ideological, or other relationships can reasonably be perceived to influence judgment or objectivity.
Authors
Authors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest relevant at the time of submission and in the final article. If none exist, the article must state that the authors declare no conflict of interest.
Reviewers
Reviewers must decline or disclose assignments where a relationship could influence or appear to influence objectivity, including close collaboration, recent co-authorship, institutional dependence, personal relationships, competition, or financial interests.
Editors
Editors must not handle manuscripts that involve a conflict with their own interests. Such manuscripts must be reassigned to an independent editor.
Publisher and Financial Administration
Editorial decisions are independent of commercial, institutional, and financial interests. Article Processing Charges are administratively separated from peer review and editorial decisions.
Post-Publication
Undisclosed conflicts of interest identified after publication may require a correction or other notification if disclosure is necessary for transparency.
