Sanitation Analysis of Pondok Pesantren Pancasila Environment in Bengkulu City in 2021

Abstract

The average environmental sanitation condition do not meet the  requirements, such as waste management in islamic boarding schools is still inadequate because there is still garbage scattered, bathrooms / latrines are not clean and sewers that are not closed, puddles and scattered garbage. Likewise with ratio of the number of beds with a minimum floor area of 3 m2/bed. It is directly on the floor in the form of mats. The purpose of the study was to determine the description of the environmental sanitation of the islamic boarding school in Bengkulu City. The type of research used was the observational research with a quantitative descriptive approach. The samples in this study were the Pancasila Islamic Boarding Schools.. The data collection method used was environmental sanitation inspection using inspection questionnaire sheets for Islamic Boarding Schools from the source of Environmental Health Requirements of Public Places, Director General of PPM and PLP, Ministry of Health, 1993 which was used for sanitation of public places. The results obtained from Pancasila Islamic Boarding Schools with a score of 2,024 does not meet the requirements. Based on the results of the study, it is suggested to the Islamic Boarding Schools to pay more attention to the level of environmental sanitation conditions so as to be able to provide a good level of health for students as well a clean environmental in the Islamic Boarding Schools.
