PENGARUH PEREGANGAN PERNAFASAN (STRECHING) TERHADAP PENINGKATAN SATURASI OKSIGEN PADA PASIEN PPOK DI RUMAH SAKIT HARAPAN DAN DOA KOTA BENGKULU
Abstract
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) occurs when the airflow in the lungs is constantly blocked. It is often caused by a combination of two or three conditions, such as chronic bronchitis, emphysema and asthma. There is one main cause and the others are complications of the initial disease. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of respiratory stretching (streching) on increasing oxygen saturation in COPD patients at Harapan and Doa Hospital, Bengkulu City. This type of quantitative research uses a Quasi Exsperiment research design using pre-test post-test. The population in this study were 48 respondents and the research sample amounted to 17 respondents. The Wilcoxon test obtained a p value of 0.00 <0.05 which indicates that there is a significant effect of the effect of respiratory stretching (streching) on increasing oxygen saturation in COPD patients at Harapan and Doa Hospital, Bengkulu City. It is recommended to the institution of Harapan and Doa Hospital to apply respiratory stretching interventions (Streching) to COPD patients who experience abnormalities in oxygen saturation while undergoing nursing.
