Abstract
Breast cancer is a hard, immovable lump in the breast, and results from damage to genes that control growth and differentiation. Uncontrolled cell proliferation can occur when a gene is dysregulated. Chemotherapy is a treatment option available to treat breast cancer. Chemotherapy usually consists of 6-8 series. The frequency of chemotherapy can result in various side effects. This quantitative research used correlational study approach with 86 respondents. The results obtained from 86 respondents obtained moderate side effects 38 (44.2%) respondents, with severe side effects 33 (38%) respondents with mild side effects 15 (17.4%). The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between chemotherapy frequency and chemotherapy side effects with a p value of 0.000 <0.05.
