PENGARUH PEMBERIAN INHALASI UAP AIR GARAM TERHADAP PENINGKATAN ARUS PUNCAK EKSPIRASI PADA PASIEN ASMA BRONKIAL DI RS BHAYANGKARA KOTA BENGKULU
Abstract
Asthma is a long-term disease of the respiratory tract characterized by narrowing of the airways. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of salt water vapor inhalation on increasing peak expiratory flow in patients with bronchial asthma. The research design is quasy experiment using pre-post-test. Data collection using observation sheet. The results of the study, the frequency distribution of Peak Expiratory Flow values experienced by respondents before being given salt water vapor inhalation there were 13 respondents with yellow labels (86.7%) and 2 respondents with red labels (13.3%), after being given salt water vapor inhalation there were 14 respondents with green labels 93.3%) and 1 respondent with yellow labels (6.2%). In the Wilcoxon test results, it is known that there is an effect of providing salt water vapor inhalation on increasing peak expiratory flow in bronchial asthma patients who undergo inpatient rooms at Bhayangkara Hospital, Bengkulu City with a pre intervention p value of 0.004 and post intervention of 0.000 so that it is worth <0.05. Conclusion, there is an effect of salt water vapor inhalation on increasing peak expiratory flow in bronchial asthma patients who undergo hospitalization at Bhayangkara Hospital, Bengkulu City. Suggestion, bronchial acid patients can also do this salt water vapor intervention independently
