PENGARUH KOMBINASI REBUSAN JAHE MERAH DAN MADU TERHADAP PENURUNAN FREKUENSI BATUK PENDERITA ISPA PADA BALITA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS JALAN GEDANG KOTA BENGKULU
Abstract
Acute respiratory infection (ARI) is a condition that causes many symptoms or syndromes. ARI is caused by viruses, bacteria, and infectious fungi, if not treated properly, it can attack the lungs and result in infant death.
The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of a combination of red ginger and honey decoction on reducing the frequency of coughing of ispa sufferers in toddlers in the Wilaya Kerja Pusekesmas Jalan Gedang Bengkulu City. This type of quantitative research uses a Quasi Exsperiment research design using pre- test post-test. The population in this study were 245 respondents and the research sample amounted to 15 respondents. The Wilcoxon test obtained a p value of 0.00 <0.05 which indicates that there is a significant effect of giving a combination of red ginger and honey decoction on the decline in cough frequency of ispa sufferers in toddlers. It is recommended to use red ginger drink and die as an independent nursing intervention in pediatric patients with ISPS who experience coughing.
