Abstract
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a condition of the body with chronic metabolic disorders that can be caused by various things. It is characterized by elevated blood glucose levels and abnormalities in fat, carbohydrate, and protein metabolism due to a lack of insulin. One of the complications that occur in patients with type 2 DM is neuropathy (foot ulcers). Low ABI values are a major factor in the onset of foot ulcers. The purpose of this study is to obtain the results of the effect of BAE on ABI values in patients with type 2 DM. The type of research used in this study is quantitative research with a quasi-experiment design, using a one group pre-test and post-test design. This experimental research involves experimenting on 1 group that is tested. by being given BAE Therapy. The results showed a significant effect in ABI values before and after BAE treatment, with a p value of 0.000 <0.05. The conclusion of this study is that BAE is effective in improving ABI values.
