Abstract

Children with Special Needs (ABK) are child who experience abnormalities or deviations from their physical, mental conditions and social behavioral characteristics that are different from normal children. Difficulty developing fine motor skills is one of the disorders experienced by ABK. The purpose of this research is to ascertain how much influence the hijaiyah letter flashcard media has on improving fine motor skills in children with special needs at the Bengkulu Autism Center. The method used in this research is quantitative with an experimental approach. This research design uses a Quasi Experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest design. Respondents were 15 children taken using purposive sampling according to the inclusion criteria. The results of this study show that fine motor skills in children with special needs before being given flashcard media was an average of 4.53, after being given flashcard media it increased to 8.60. The statistical test results show a significant p-value of 0.000 < 0.05,  So the research conclusions show that there is an influence of hijiyah letter flashcard media on improving fine motor skills in children with special needs. It is recommended that the Bengkulu Autism Center use a variety of learning methods such as attaching hijaiyah letter flashcard media in order to better enhance kids' fine motor abilities.
