Abstract

The incidence of motor development disorders in pre-school children is still high. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of playing origami and playing with plasticine on fine motor development in pre-school children in kindergarten. Dharma Wanita Association of Bengkulu Province. The research design used was a quasi experiment, with the experimental design used being a two group before after or pre-test and post test group design. This design consists of two experimental groups in each intervention which are treated in the form of applying the model. The sample in this study was 30 preschool age children who were divided into two groups, namely 15 people playing origami and 15 people playing plasticine. The data collection technique uses a fine motor skills observation sheet. Data analysis used the Paired t Test and Independent Sample t Test. The results of the study showed that the average fine motor skills of pre-school children before doing origami play therapy in kindergarten. The Dharma Wanita Association of Bengkulu Province was 7.80 and after receiving therapy it became 14.93. Average fine motor skills in pre-school children before plasticine play therapy in kindergarten. The Dharma Wanita Association of Bengkulu Province was 9.40 and after receiving therapy it became 17.00. Playing origami and playing with plasticine are effective in developing fine motor skills in pre-school children in kindergarten. Dharma Wanita Association of Bengkulu Province with a value of 1.906 > 1.734 and a p value of 0.037 < 0.05.
