Abstract

Experience is defined as something that has been experienced by everyone, either (lived, felt, borne, and so on). Likewise, the symptoms of the Covid-19 virus are almost the same as the general symptoms that exist in people with pulmonary tuberculosis (TB), such as fever, cough and shortness of breath. According to WHO, 2020 (in Dinata.TM, 2020), some research results state that the average age of patients infected with covid-19 is an average age of 51 years (63.7%) and around 66 patients (32.8%) with comorbidities including hypertension (19.4%), diabetes (10.9%), liver disease (3.5%), nervous system disease (3.5%), chronic lung diseases such as pulmonary TB (2.5%), chronic kidney disease (1.0%), endocrine system disease excluding diabetes (1.0%), and tumors (0.5%). This study aims to obtain new information about the experience of Covid-19 patients with comorbid complications of pulmonary TB in the Fatmawati Room, Dr.M.Yunus Hospital Bengkulu. This research is qualitative using a phenomenological study approach as a method used to study a person's experience of a particular phenomenon. The results obtained after the intervention experience that those who undergo the covid treatment period need support and support from the family so that they do not feel alienated and to maintain the mentality of patients exposed to covid-19.
