Abstract

Hypertension is a cardiovascular disorder that is the leading cause of death worldwide. According to Savitri and Silus Hypertension is defined as persistent high blood pressure, where systolic blood pressure ≥130 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure ≥90 mmHg, when measured at least twice and in two different conditions within two weeks. The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of using ginger decoction with turmeric decoction on blood pressure of hypertensive patients. The type of analysis used is statistical analysis using SPSS computer software with univariate and bivariate analysis techniques. The results showed that there was an effect of giving white ginger decoction on lowering blood pressure in hypertensive patients with systole p value 0.001 and in diastole p value 0.000 <0.05, and the effect of giving turmeric decoction with systole p value 0.001 and in diastole p value 0.001 <0.05.
