Perbandingan Efektivitas Terapi Rendam Air Garam Epsom Hangat Dengan Terapi Rendam Air Serai Hangat Terhadap Penurunan Nyeri Rheumatoid Arthritis pada Lansia di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Lingkar Barat

Abstract

The problem in this study is how to compare the effectiveness of warm salt water immersion therapy with warm lemongrass water soak therapy on reducing Rheumatoid Arthritis pain in the elderly in the working area of the West Lingkar Health Center in Bengkulu City, the research method in this study was quantitative with a pre-experimental research type. The research location for this research has been carried out at the residence of residents (houses) affected by Rheumatoid Arthritis, by visiting his house to conduct special research in the western rim area in the city of Bengkulu. Time of research This research was conducted from May 27 to June 27 2023, to be precise in the morning, 08.00-10.00, in the working area of the West Circle Public Health Center in Bengkulu City. The length of time used to soak in warm salt water and soak in warm lemongrass water is generally 20 minutes, the duration of soaking in warm salt water is 20 minutes, while the warm lemongrass water is reduced to 20 minutes. Results and discussion 1) before warm salt water immersion therapy with warm lemongrass water immersion therapy on pain intensity in the elderly suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis in the working area of the West Circle Health Center in Bengkulu City with a scale of severe pain and moderate pain. 2) after warm salt water immersion therapy with warm lemongrass water immersion therapy on pain intensity in the elderly suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis in the working area of the West Circle Health Center in Bengkulu City with a scale of severe pain and mild pain. 3) The effectiveness of warm salt water immersion therapy with warm lemongrass water immersion therapy on pain intensity in the elderly suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis in the working area of the West Ring Health Center in Bengkulu City is proven by the results of the analysis of the value of p (0.00) < α (0.05).
