Abstract

Blood pressure is the amount of pressure used in the blood flow when passing through the arteries. The aim is to see the comparison of the use of star fruit juice with tomato juice in reducing blood pressure in hypertension sufferers in the West Ring Health Center working area. This research design is a quantitative research design using a quasi-experimental research design and the design used is a pre and post test design. The univariate results for star fruit juice respondents and tomato juice respondents were 50.27-53.40 years. By gender, the majority of star fruit juice and tomato juice respondents were women, (67.70%) for star fruit juice respondents (and 60.00) for tomato juice respondents. The results of the bivariate analysis of the dependent t-test in the tomato juice intervention group showed a result of p=0.000, meaning there was an effect after being given the star fruit juice intervention, in the tomato juice intervention group the result was p=0.000. after being given the tomato juice intervention. The independent t-test results showed that the results of the independent t test for star fruit juice were 0.018, while for the tomato juice intervention the significant value was 0.016. So there is a comparison between giving star fruit juice intervention and giving tomato juice intervention. It is hoped that the West Ring Community Health Center can advise patients to regularly drink tomato juice and star fruit juice..
