Abstract

Pre-school age children are children aged 3-6 years. The development of preschool age children consists of gross motor, fine motor, language and social development. This study aims to analyze the ability to delay speech (Speech Delay) in pre-school age children at PAUD Alam Bengkulu Mahira. The research design used descriptive qualitative research with a field approach. The sampling technique was purposive sampling and the population of children in PAUD Alam Bengkulu Mahira. The results of the research by the researcher obtained the themes and sub-themes obtained from the analysis of speech delay abilities in pre-school children in Alam Bengkulu Mahira PAUD. Obtained from the informant's knowledge of what speech delay is, its causes and effects. In addition, the impact obtained comes from environmental factors and there are also nutritional factors. The management of children with speech delays is speech therapy, providing stimulus and reducing cell phone use. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an increase in speech ability in preschool-age children in PAUD Alam Bengkulu Mahira.
