Abstract

The purpose of study was to find out whether there were factors associated with psychological disorders in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at M. Yunus Bengkulu General Hospital. This type of research uses a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach, carried out in the Chemotherapy Room of M. Yunus Bengkulu Hospital from May to April 2023. The population is all breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at M. Yunus Bengkulu Hospital totaling 66 people in 2022 , the sampling technique using total sampling. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire, while the data analysis used univariate analysis by describing each variable studied, this analysis was in the form of the demographic frequency distribution of the respondents and the variables studied. Furthermore, bivariate analysis through multiple linear regression models. Factors that are significantly related to anxiety disorders in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at RSUD Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu is a sig income factor (0.014), while factors that are not related are age (0.074), education level (0.208), cancer stage (0.205), knowledge (0.574) and family support (0.922). Factors significantly associated with depressive disorders in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at RSUD Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu is a sig income factor (0.016), while factors that are not related are age (0.061), education level (0.189), cancer stage (0.565), knowledge (0.73) and family support (0.748). The most dominant factor associated with anxiety and depression in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at RSUD Dr. M.Yunus Bengkulu is a factor of income.
