Hubungan Self Care dan Kepatuhan Diet terhadap Kualitas Hidup Klien Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Nusa Indah Kota Bengkulu

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is considered to have sizeable impact on quality of life. The qualityof life domains of eating freedom, physical activity, and work life were the most negatively affected. The purpose of study ware determines the correlations of self care and diet compliance on the life quality of clients with type 2 DM in the work area of the Nusa Indah Health Center, Bengkulu City. This research is analytic observational with a cross sectional approach. Respondents were 67 clients with type 2 DM in the work area of the Nusa Indah Health Center, Bengkulu City. Data were obtained from questionnaires and using the Chi Square test. The results showed, self care ware high (55,2%) and low self care (44,8%), diet compliance ware obedient (64,2%) and less diet (35,8%), has a quality of life (53,7%) and lives of not quality (46,3%). Self care not significant correlation between quality of life of type 2 clients (0,075 > 0,05), diet compliance a significant correlation between and quality of life (0,025 < 0,05).
