Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic, which initially attacked residents of Wuhan, China, has spread to many countries, one of which is Indonesia, making several systems change, such as in several sectors of school and college institutions with offline learning systems changing online. This has several impacts on students in higher education, such as being mentally disturbed because they are stressed and unable to follow and understand lessons as they are done face-to-face. The purpose of the study was to reduce the stress level of Nursing students at the Muhammadiyah Bengkulu University due to online lectures during the Covid-19 pandemic with Mozart's therapy. The research was conducted in a quasi-experimental way with one group pre-test and post-test methods. The sample in this study amounted to 58 nursing students at the University of Muhammadiyah Bengkulu. The results obtained before being given Mozart therapy were an average of 27.19 while after being given Mozart music therapy 14.84, and to determine the effect of the therapy, a Paired Sample T-test was carried out with a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05) so it can be concluded that the therapy Mozart can reduce the stress level of Nursing students at Muhammadiyah Bengkulu University due to online lectures during the Covid-19 pandemic. Suggestions, for students, it is necessary to have a coping strategy to reduce stress levels due to online lectures during the Covid-19 pandemic, one of which is Mozart's therapy.
