Abstract
Toilet training is one of the important developmental tasks in preschool-aged children aimed at training children to independently control urination and defecation. The success of toilet training is influenced by various factors, one of which is family support. Good family support can help children become more independent and confident in carrying out toilet training.
This study aimed to determine the relationship between family support regarding toilet training and the success of toilet training among children aged 5–6 years at PAUD IT Insan Intani, Bengkulu City. This study used a quantitative method with an observational analytic design and a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 36 respondents selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection was conducted using structured questionnaires to assess family support and the success of toilet training. Data analysis included univariate and bivariate analyses using the Chi-Square test with a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). The results showed that there was a significant relationship between family support and the success of toilet training in children aged 5–6 years. The better the family support provided, the higher the level of success in toilet training among children.
