SELF-CONTROL, INTEGRITY, AND PROFESSIONALISM: THE MEDIATING ROLE OF ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT IN A STATE CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION

Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Negara Kelas IIB Kraksaan merupakan lembaga yang memiliki peran strategis dalam sistem pemasyarakatan, dimana profesionalisme pegawai menjadi faktor kunci dalam menjalankan tugasnya yang penuh dengan tantangan dan tekanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pengendalian diri dan integritas terhadap profesionalisme pegawai Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Negara Kelas IIB Kraksaan, baik secara langsung maupun melalui komitmen organisasi sebagai variabel mediasi. Pengendalian diri dan integritas dianggap sebagai aset kunci yang membentuk komitmen organisasi seorang pegawai, yang selanjutnya berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan profesionalisme dalam pelaksanaan tugas sehari-hari di lingkungan yang penuh tekanan dan dinamis. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan mengumpulkan data melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada pegawai Rumah Tahanan Kelas IIB Kraksaan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan alat statistik WarpPLS untuk menguji hubungan antar variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengendalian diri dan integritas berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap profesionalisme pegawai. Selain itu, pengendalian diri dan integritas juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap komitmen organisasi, yang kemudian memediasi pengaruh keduanya terhadap profesionalisme. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pengembangan pengendalian diri, integritas, dan komitmen organisasi sebagai strategi utama dalam meningkatkan kualitas profesionalisme pegawai Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Negara Kelas IIB Kraksaan.
