Faktor-faktor yang Mempengaruhi Kekambuhan Pasien Skizofrenia di Rumah Sakit Khusus Jiwa Soeprapto Provinsi Bengkulu

Abstract

Background : According to the World Health Organization (WHO), schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder characterized by distortions in thinking, perception, emotions, language, and behavior, including a loss of sense of self-awareness (WHO, 2024). The number of visits reached 1,347 visits. Meanwhile, the data on patient recurrence more than 1 time in 2024 is 235 patients (Medical Record, Soeprapto Hospital, Bengkulu Province, 2024). The purpose of the study is to find out the Factors Affecting the Relapse of Schizophrenia Patients at the Soeprapto Psychiatric Special Hospital, Bengkulu Province in 2025. Method : used in this study is a survey method with a Cross Sectional approach. The research sample was 70 respondents. Data analysis was carried out by chi-square test with a significance level of 95% using SPSS 16 Software. Results : of the univariate analysis showed that 31 people (44,3%) were aged 19 - 59 years, 37 people (52,9%) were enough-informed, 38 people (54,3%) were poorly educated, 48 people (68,6%) were employed, and 42 people (61,4%) were less likely to receive family support. The results of bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between age with value p = 0,004, Knowledge with value p = 0,020, education with value p = 0,014, work with value p = 0,008, family support with value p = 0,008 with the recurrence of Schizophrenia Patients at the Soeprapto Psychiatric Special Hospital, Bengkulu Province< α – 0,05. Multivariate results of dominant family support are related to the recurrence of Schizophrenia Patients with the largest Exp(B) value, which is 6,764 at the Soeprapto Psychiatric Special Hospital, Bengkulu Province in 2025. Conclusion: It is expected that psychiatric hospitals will encourage the implementation of research that focuses on efforts to prevent recurrence of schizophrenia patients through the evaluation of continuous care programs, medication adherence, and psychosocial support. Suggestion: It is recommended that the psychiatric hospital encourage research initiatives focusing on efforts to prevent relapse among patients with schizophrenia through the evaluation of continuous care programs, medication adherence, and psychosocial support.
