Abstract

Thesis is one of the requirements that must be done by students to get a degree according to the study program they are taking to meet the graduation requirements. Students often experience obstacles in working on theses so that students are vulnerable to stress, anxiety and disturbed sleep quality when completing the thesis. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between stress and anxiety levels with sleep quality in students who were completing their Thesis at the Nursing Science Study Program, University of Muhammadiyah Bengkulu. This research is a quantitative analytic study using an analytical observational design using a cross sectional approach. Using the total sampling technique because it was taken from all final year students of the nursing science study program, totaling 40 respondents. This study uses univariate and bivariate data analysis which aims to describe and determine the relationship between the characteristics of the variables studied. The results of this study showed that the level of stress and poor sleep quality was 92.5% and the anxiety level with good sleep quality was 7.5%. The conclusion of this study is that there is no relationship between stress levels and sleep quality in final year students of the Nursing Science Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu.
