Abstract

Blood pressure is the force required for blood to flow in the blood vessels and circulate throughout the tissues of the human body. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of IHE and PMR on blood pressure in patients with hypertension in the working area of ​​the Puskesmas Lingkar Timur, Bengkulu. This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research design. The total sample in this study was 15 respondents. The sampling technique is by random sampling, namely taking samples according to the criteria. The results of the study were the highest systolic blood pressure values ​​before IHE and PMR interventions were given at level II with a total of 12 respondents (80%), while the diastolic blood pressure values ​​before IHE and PMR interventions were mostly at level II with a total of 13 respondents (86.7 %), the value of systolic blood pressure after the IHE and PMR interventions there was a significant decrease in the value of systolic blood pressure, which was at most level I with a total of 14 respondents (93.3%), while the value of diastolic blood pressure after IHE and PMR interventions occurred The highest decrease in diastolic blood pressure was at level I with 13 respondents (86.7%). It is known that there is an effect of giving IHE and PMR interventions on reducing pressure in hypertension sufferers in the Bengkulu City Health Center with P value = 0.000 <0.05. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for people with hypertension to lower blood pressure.
