Two important things during a disaster are how prepared each family is and how much fear they experience. This study was done to see if being ready as a family and feeling worried when earthquakes and tsunamis happen are connected in the Pasar Berkas area of Bengkulu city. The method used in this research is by calculating and explaining according to the current conditions. There are 59 families that were used as samples, chosen using a method called purposive sampling. The tools used include a questionnaire about family readiness to face disasters and an instrument called Use the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) to figure out how anxious someone is. The data was calculated using a test called the Likelihood Ratio Test. Many people rated themselves as 'not yet ready' (40.7%) in terms of preparedness and 'quite scared' (54.2%) in terms of anxiety levels. The Likelihood Ratio Test results showed a value of 0.102, which is more than 0.05, so there is no real link between how ready families are and how worried they get when natural disasters happen.. There is no significant numerical relationship between family preparedness and fear levels. Other methods, such as learning about social issues and mental readiness, are needed so that people are not only equipped with tools but also strong-hearted when facing natural disasters.
Tara Putri Palida, Andry Sartika Copyright (c) 2026 JURNAL NERS GENERATION https://jurnal.umb.ac.id/index.php/ng/article/view/10187 Sun, 29 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0700 PEMBERIAN TERAPI GENGGAM JARI TERHADAP PENURUNAN SKALA NYERI PADA PASIEN POST OPERASI LAPARATOMI https://jurnal.umb.ac.id/index.php/ng/article/view/10188
Post-laparotomy pain is one of the main issues that can affect the patient's recovery process. Effective pain management is necessary to improve comfort and accelerate healing. Finger grip therapy is a non-pharmacological method that can be used to help reduce pain scale. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of finger grip therapy in reducing pain levels in post-laparotomy patients in the Seruni Ward of RSUD dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu. This study uses an observational research design in the form of a case study. The case study approach aims to explore issues related to laparotomy through a descriptive approach. This method seeks to reveal ongoing events or symptoms. The case study subjects in this research were three post-laparotomy patients in the Seruni Ward of RSUD dr. M. Yunus. Pain levels were measured before and after administering finger grip therapy using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Data analysis was conducted using appropriate statistical tests.
Dwi Nevitasari, Andri Kusuma Wijaya, Bertha Tesma Wulandari Copyright (c) 2026 JURNAL NERS GENERATION https://jurnal.umb.ac.id/index.php/ng/article/view/10188 Sun, 29 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0700 PENGARUH PEMBERIAN MINUMAN BUNGA TELANG (Clitoria ternatea L.) This study aims to identify the relationship between social media use and the risk of negative social behavior among adolescents at SMP Negeri 19 Kota Bengkulu. A quantitative method with a cross-sectional design was employed, involving 75 eighth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the SIPMS questionnaire and antisocial behavior scale, then analyzed with the chi-square test. The findings showed that most respondents (98.7%) had high social media usage, while 12.0% were at risk of negative social behavior. However, statistical analysis revealed no significant relationship between social media intensity and the risk of negative social behavior (p = 0.120). Nevertheless, parental supervision and digital literacy education are essential to reduce potential negative impacts. It is recommended that schools, communities, and higher education institutions actively contribute to shaping adolescent behavior through educational and preventive approaches.
Anna Mayang Sari Siregar, M. One recommended nursing intervention to support secretion mobilization is the effective cough technique. This case study aims to analyze the implementation of effective cough techniques in three pediatric pulmonary tuberculosis patients at the Pediatric Clinic of Tiara Sella Hospital Bengkulu in 2025. The study employed a case study design following the nursing care process consisting of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and physical examinations. The results showed that all patients experienced ineffective airway clearance characterized by non-productive cough, increased respiratory rate, and difficulty in expectorating sputum. After three days of implementing the effective cough technique, improvements were observed in cough effectiveness, optimal secretion removal, clearer breath sounds, and overall patient comfort. The study concludes that the effective cough technique is beneficial in improving airway clearance in pediatric pulmonary tuberculosis patients and can be recommended as a fundamental nursing intervention for respiratory problems in children.
Devi Riana, Selvia Novitasari Copyright (c) 2026 JURNAL NERS GENERATION https://jurnal.umb.ac.id/index.php/ng/article/view/10204 Sun, 29 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0700
