The research set out to determine if giving elderly hypertension individuals in the Telaga Dewa Community Health Center Working Area in Bengkulu City Moringa leaf tea (Moringa oleifera L) would result in a reduction in their blood pressure. The study plan consists of a quantitative experiment using a quasi-experimental research design. Research data were evaluated both univariately and bivariately using the sample t-test. The results of the research showed that before consuming Moringa oleifera L tea, elderly individuals with hypertension had an average blood pressure of 148/94 mmHg; after drinking the tea, this figure decreased to 135/83 mmHg. The findings of the statistical test show that there is a significant difference between the elderly with hypertension in the Telaga Dewa Community Health Center Working Area and those without it in terms of systolic and diastolic blood pressure (p-value 0.000 < (α = 0.05). This implies that the tea derived from moringa dauh (Moringa oleifera L) can help decrease blood pressure. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), every year, more than 570,000 children under the age of 5 die from respiratory diseases. The researcher's initial survey found 379 infants 1-5 years old in the Muara Bangkahulu health centre working area. This indicates that young children in this area are at high risk of developing acute respiratory infections (ARI). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of health education with the socratic method (demonstration) on the knowledge of parents of toddlers on ispa disease in the working area of Muara Bangkahulu health centre. This study used a quantitative approach with experimental pre-post test research design and the sample in this study were parents in the Muara Bangkahulu health centre working area according to the inclusion criteria, namely 30 respondents. The research instrument used was a closed questionnaire consisting of respondents' personal data and statements related to ARI. The results obtained after health education with the socratic demonstration method were that 29 respondents had good knowledge (96.7%) and a small proportion of respondents had sufficient knowledge, namely 1 person (3.3%). The knowledge data obtained and then processed using SPSS version 29 shows that the significance value obtained is 0.001, which is smaller than the previously set significance level α = 0.05. From these results, it can be concluded that there is a real and significant difference between the level of knowledge before (pre-test) and after (post-test) given a health education intervention with the socratic method (demonstration).
Aditiya Noprianto M.
