This study aims to analyze the implementation of Word of Mouth as a marketing communication strategy at Waroeng Pizza Nang Tut in increasing sales, focusing on the forms of Organic Word of Mouth and Amplified Word of Mouth. The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results reveal that Word of Mouth occurs naturally from consumer satisfaction (Organic Word of Mouth) and through simple promotional support on personal social media and public groups (Amplified Word of Mouth). Field findings show that Organic Word of Mouth is more dominant than Amplified Word of Mouth, as satisfied consumers tend to discuss, recommend, and encourage others to try the products without direct encouragement from the management. Consistent product quality, good service, and the use of simple social media are key factors in creating sustainable communication among consumers. In conclusion, the Word of Mouth strategy proves effective in increasing sales and strengthening the sustainability of Waroeng Pizza Nang Tut, a more integrated collaboration between consumer experience and social media is recommended to enhance promotional impact and sales stability.

Keywords: Marketing communications, Word of mouth, UMKM, Pizza
2025-10-29T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Sarjana Ilmu Komunikasi (J-SIKOM)https://jurnal.umb.ac.id/index.php/jsikom/article/view/8843DARK FRAMING OF INDONESIAN DEMONSTRATION NEWS BY KOMPAS.COM AND DETIK.COM2025-08-17T13:44:24+08:00Mukhammad Thoriq Azizthoriqstudy1@gmail.comNurma yuwitanurma@yudharta.ac.id
The “Indonesia Gelap” demonstration in February 2025 reflected the disappointment of the public, especially students, with government policies that were considered anti-people. The main character, Jati, is portrayed as a neurodivergent teenager living within rigid routines while facing social and familial conflicts. Using a qualitative approach within a constructionist paradigm and Stuart Hall’s theory of representation—including the encoding–decoding model—this study explores how meanings are constructed by the filmmaker and interpreted variably by audiences. The analysis reveals that the film symbolically frames Asperger’s not as a form of diversity to be embraced, but as a deviation to be corrected. Symbols such as train systems, schedules, and daily rituals serve as metaphors for Jati’s ideal world, while the surrounding environment is depicted as a source of pressure for conformity. Symbolic discrimination appears through narratives that require the neurodivergent individual to change in order to be accepted. By using the blue Garuda symbol, Kompas frames the information as an urgent and important issue, linking it to national identity. The Kompas news portal was chosen as the research subject because Kompas.com is in the 44th global rank in the General News typology. The purpose of the research is to determine the framing carried out by Kompas on the issue of the emergency warning hashtag symbol of the blue Garuda in 2024. The method in this study uses a qualitative approach and a constructivist paradigm. In this study, data collection was obtained by downloading news published in the Kompas.com online news portal during the period of August 21-23, 2024. The theory used is the framing theory of Zhongdan Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki as an analytical tool. The results of the findings of the Kompas portal media were able to package information on the emergency warning hashtag from August 21-23, indicating that the Kompas portal media was able to influence the public by reporting the issue of the emergency warning hashtag of the blue Garuda bird, namely there are framing elements among them; there are syntax, script, thematic and rhetorical.

Keywords: Framing, Warning Hashtag, Kompas News Portal
2025-10-29T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Sarjana Ilmu Komunikasi (J-SIKOM)https://jurnal.umb.ac.id/index.php/jsikom/article/view/9198BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF COGNITIVE DISSONANCE THEORY IN THE FIELD OF SOCIAL SCIENCES2025-10-08T00:14:28+08:00Kelvin Mohammad Yusronkelvin25005@mail.unpad.ac.idLuthfi Hudiya Fasyaluthfi20001@mail.unpad.ac.idJunaidy Alkadir Kapitan Bjunaidy25001@mail.unpad.ac.idSiti Nurindahsiti25044@mail.unpad.ac.id
Cognitive Dissonance Theory is one of the most influential social psychology theories that has been widely implemented in the study of behavior, attitudes, and communication, but there is no national roadmap for its application in the social sciences as a comprehensive guideline for studying the topic. This study aims to formulate the productivity trends of Cognitive Dissonance Theory in the social sciences from 2016 to 2025 by tracing 317 indexed publications in the Scopus service. This study uses a bibliometric approach based on Biblioshiny and VOSviewer to analyze annual trends, the highest citations, the most productive authors, institutions, and countries, as well as keyword mapping, through seven stages: developing research questions, data sources, data collection, data processing, data analysis, interpretation of results, and reporting. The results of the study holistically show that the number of publications on Cognitive Dissonance Theory in the social sciences from 2016 to 2025 shows a significant increase, especially in studies of attitude change, message persuasiveness, and consumer behavior, with rapid growth in Asia, America, and Europe. In terms of quantity, China was recorded as the most productive country and author of publications, but in terms of quality, institutions in the United States showed superior academic productivity, while the most referenced studies originated from Europe, particularly the Netherlands. This study concludes that the trend of Cognitive Dissonance Theory in the social sciences contributes significantly to the development of disciplines, especially communication science, with theoretical and applied novelty values that are relevant to contemporary research.

Keywords: Bibliometrics, Cognitive Dissonance Theory, Social Sciences
2025-10-29T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Sarjana Ilmu Komunikasi (J-SIKOM)https://jurnal.umb.ac.id/index.php/jsikom/article/view/8716INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION OF STUDENTS WITH BIPOLAR DISORDER IN THE FRIENDSHIP ENVIRONMENT ON CAMPUS2025-07-29T04:35:47+08:00Siti Istianassitiistiana@gmail.comLia Hikmatul Maulaliahimatulmaulana@gmail.comDiah Safiradiahsafira@gmail.com
Interpersonal communication plays a crucial role in fostering healthy social relationships, particularly within the campus environment. However, students with bipolar disorder face various barriers to effective interpersonal communication. This study aims to explore the dynamics of interpersonal communication among students with bipolar disorder within the context of friendships on campus. A qualitative approach was employed, with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews and participant observation of participants diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The analysis was based on DeVito's (2013) seven aspects of interpersonal communication: openness, empathy, positive attitude, unity, interaction management, expressiveness, and orientation toward others. The results indicate that students with bipolar disorder experience barriers in almost all aspects of interpersonal communication, particularly in openness and empathy, although supportive and assertive behaviors are still observed in certain situations.

Keywords: Interpersonal communication, Bipolar disorder, Social skills, Campus environment, Social relationships
2025-10-29T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Sarjana Ilmu Komunikasi (J-SIKOM)https://jurnal.umb.ac.id/index.php/jsikom/article/view/9296ANALYSIS OF THE ROLE OF YOUTUBE “CURHAT BANG” BY DENNY SUMARGO IN ENCOURAGING LEGAL RESPONSE IN INDONESIA: CASE STUDY THE EPISODE IS GETTING HOTTER, CIRCUS VICTIMS BRING EVIDENCE OF TORTURE. The results show that Denny Sumargo frames the issue of human rights violations against former circus workers as a humanitarian and social justice issue neglected by the legal system. The framing he constructs is moral and advocative, fostering public empathy and social pressure on legal institutions. The virality of the content demonstrates the relevance of Agenda Setting theory, where social media not only influences the public agenda but also drives formal institutional responses. This study aims to determine how audiences interpret the message in the song's lyrics. This research used a qualitative descriptive method with a reception analysis approach through in-depth interviews. The results reveal two main reception positions: dominant-hegemonic and negotiated, illustrating that listeners actively interpret meaning based on their socio-cultural context. They often experience bullying in the form of insults and hate speech directed at their physical disabilities. This is especially true when there are legal cases or immoral behavior involving them. Nevertheless, there are always dynamics and nuances in every netizen comment regarding individuals with disabilities. This study aims to examine how netizens discuss disability groups based on their status and social roles. These individuals are divided into two categories: those with disabilities with celebrity status (public figures) and those with non-celebrity status (public figures), or those with general disabilities. This research focuses on the dynamics of netizen conversations with three individuals with disabilities in Indonesia who are not involved in legal issues or other scandals concerning morality. This position was chosen to maintain neutrality, as responses to them are not influenced by external factors that degrade their status as vulnerable individuals. The results revealed differences in netizen treatment of the three study subjects. Non-celebrity individuals with disabilities are more likely to experience digital bullying than celebrities. This shows the still poor quality of our netizens' literacy towards vulnerable groups and the persistence of the mindset of social class fragmentation and the celebrity-non-celebrity dichotomy.

Keywords: Conversation Analysis, Disability, Interaction, Social Media, Netizens
2025-10-31T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Sarjana Ilmu Komunikasi (J-SIKOM)
