Abstract
ABSTRACT
This study discusses the implementation of intensive Nahwu learning in Arabic language acquisition and religious learning motivation of students at the Ar-Risalah Islamic Boarding School. This research is motivated by the fact that there is a lack of teacher learning models in designing Nahwu learning designs so that the material can be conveyed well and clearly so that the expected objectives can be achieved optimally. One effort that can be done is to teach Arabic by studying the rules of words and sentences by preparing a good lesson plan. The purpose of this study is to determine the process of intensive Nahwu learning in Arabic language acquisition and religious learning motivation of Ar-Risalah students starting from planning, implementation, evaluation, and Arabic language acquisition and religious learning motivation of students. The intensive Nahwu learning program is carried out through additional study hours, habituation to the use of Arabic, practice reading books, and routine evaluation of students' mastery of Nahwu rules. Students who are able to understand Arabic books tend to have a higher enthusiasm in studying religious knowledge. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, literature studies, and documentation. The subjects of this study were Arabic language teachers with 17 students of the Ar-Risalah male Islamic boarding school as the population using a qualitative descriptive design using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results of the study indicate that: (1) The learning planning carried out by the ustadz in preparing and improving the quality of intensive Nahwu learning is in accordance with the discussion plan on the material in the textbook. The series of Nahwu learning implementation processes in terms of teaching and learning activities carried out by the teacher consists of 3 series of activities, namely initial activities as an introduction, core activities and closing activities, overall can be assessed as good. The evaluation of Nahwu learning carried out by the teacher was carried out well with the achievement of student evaluation results that were quite satisfactory. Daily evaluation, mid-term evaluation and final evaluation in the form of an oral test, namely with memorization and understanding, were carried out well (2) The students' Arabic language acquisition has increased quite a lot, especially in mastery of vocabulary from Nahwu rules, only need to increase language acquisition from other materials (3) intensive Nahwu learning also has a positive impact on the motivation to study religion because students find it easier to understand Islamic material sourced from Arabic books..
